I've
been in love with Prada's Minimal Baroque collection for a long time.
Yes they are humongous and look like you stepped out of Charlie and the
chocolate factory (Willy Wonka, get it?) but I think they rock! Have a
look
Aaah. Words cannot describe how much I love this bracelet. Well, hey, it's Cartier, you say. But it's the whole idea behind the bracelet, that I like. It was designed in 1969 by Aldo Cipullo, and inspired by the medieval chastity belt. Unlike traditional bracelets, which are either wide enough to slip them over the hand onto the wrist or can readily be opened in order to put them on, the Love bracelet is designed to be opened only using a special screwdriverthat is supplied with every bracelet. The screwdriver is also available in the form of a necklace, allowing the bracelet to be "locked" onto one person while the "key" is kept around the neck of another. Cipullo's idea was that couples could exchange the bracelets, much like rings, as a symbol of everlasting devotion. (this is the moment where you start to sigh)
Hello dear, I've had a busy week once again. One of my friends is leaving for Australia in a few weeks and had her going away party. She sure will be missed (check out her blog & future travel adventures here). Another highlight: I'm participating in KASK fashion show. Yesterday i finally got to see 'Michael Von der Crone''s collection (and also what I'm going to wear), and can I just say, it looked amazing! His presentation for the jury was filmed (and so was I) by VRT for Terzake, I will post it on my facebook fanpage once the video is online, so you can his collection yourself. In my previous post I talked about the peplum trend. When I saw this dress for only 20 € I had to have it. This is definitely not something I would normally wear (I think my friends would confirm, a little bit too snobby), but I do really like it. This said, I'm looking really pale. I'm in need for sunshine & summer weather, soon. Can somebody please take me away to a sunnier place?
Peplums seem to waft in and out of fashion every few decades. The last time it was big was in the ’80s. What does this funny word mean? The definition of a peplum from the Oxford dictionary-”a short gathered or pleated strip of fabric attached at the waist of a woman’s jacket, dress, or blouse to create a hanging frill or flounce”. Sounds a bit crazy right?
Hello dear, The sun has finally awoken from it's wintersleep. My weekend was filled with moments of joy in the sun with drinks, ice cream and really good company. It's funny what some sun can do with one's state of mind. Now that my energy bar is fully reloaded again (i visualise myself as a video game character), I'm ready for focusing utterly and completely on school, or at least try really (really) hard.
